Job summary

Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer on a 1-year contract to support offshore oil and gas projects with a focus on safety and structural integrity.

You will review drawings, perform calculations, verify lifting analyses, and coordinate with multidiscipline teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural/civil engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of oil and gas industry experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience in engineering and commissioning for oil and gas projects.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, cutting plans, and offshore construction activities.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and verifications, including lifting analyses.
• Knowledge of structural design principles, standards, and offshore project requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and verify soft mooring parameters to ensure safe and effective offshore operations.
• Review and verify gangway operating procedures in accordance with project requirements and applicable safety standards.
• Perform structural design analyses and engineering assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare job cards, work packs, and supporting technical documentation for Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) activities.
• Participate in field activities during HUC execution, providing engineering support and resolving structural-related issues.
• Review structural drawings and structural cutting plans to support offshore construction and installation activities.
• Perform engineering calculations and verifications, including lifting analyses for offshore lifting operations.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure work is executed safely and in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.

• Knowledge of structural design principles, applicable engineering standards, and offshore project requirements.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
