Job summary

ELSA in Kuala Lumpur invites a Structural Engineer for a 1-year contract to support offshore structural design, mooring verification and HUC activities.

Responsibilities include verifying mooring and gangway procedures, reviewing drawings, and performing lifting analyses while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet safety and project requirements.

You will prepare technical documentation and participate in field activities to resolve structural issues on offshore projects in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years in oil and gas, incl. 3+ years in a similar role.
• Experience in oil and gas commissioning projects.
• Familiarity with structural drawings and offshore construction activities.
• Capable of lifting analyses and engineering calculations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.

Requirement(s):

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent relevant engineering qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a similar role or capacity.
• Relevant engineering and commissioning experience in oil and gas projects
• Familiarity with structural drawings, structural cutting plans, and offshore construction activities.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and verifications, particularly lifting analyses for offshore lifting operations.
• Knowledge of structural design principles, applicable engineering standards, and offshore project requirements.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
