Job summary

Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. in Miri/Bintulu is seeking a Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for a 12‑month contract.

The role focuses on developing commissioning plans, leading the team through testing and start‑up, and ensuring compliance with project quality procedures and industry standards. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 6+ years of relevant experience (3+ in a similar role), and registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering and commissioning experience, including at least 3 years in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for mechanical systems.
• Lead the commissioning team during testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Ensure compliance with project quality procedures, including document control, change control, materials control, field inspection, and testing procedures.
• Coordinate mechanical inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and manage turnover documentation for the formal handover of completed systems to the Operations team.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve mechanical issues during commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with applicable mechanical standards, design codes, project specifications, and oil and gas industry practices.
