Job summary

Meinhardt Consulting Engineers in Kuala Lumpur seeks a civil/structural engineer with 3–5 years of design experience, especially in road and drainage. The role involves assisting leaders, liaising with authorities, doing design calculations, BoQ prep, and drawing production using AutoCAD.

Fluency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage. We offer opportunities in an international engineering group with a strong Malaysia presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil/structural engineering.
• 3+ years civil/structure design experience.
• Independent and capable of leading projects.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Civil3D, EPANET, AutoCAD or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Team Leader and sub-team leaders in their duties.
• Submit and liaison with local authorities.
• Carry out design calculations, construction reports, and BoQ preparation.
• Produce drawings and edit with AutoCAD.
• Ensure compliance with project design criteria, client brief, and standards.
• Check documentation for design compliance.
• Attend meetings.

Job description

Assist the Team Leader/Sub-team Leaders in the performance of their duties;

Submission & liaison with local authority;

Carry out design calculations/construction report/BoQ preparation;

Produce drawings, able to edit using AutoCAD;

Ensure compliance with project Design Criteria/ Client Brief/ Approved Concept/ relevant design standards and office standards;

Check documentation complies with designs;

Attend meetings;

3-5 years design experience with road and drainage, are preferable;

Basic knowledge with water supply & sewer design.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural) or equivalent.

≥3 years civil/structure related design experiences.

Independent and able to lead projects are preferable.

Team player and strong communication skills.

Able to work under stress and good attitude.

Good knowledge with road alignment and drainage design background will be added advantage.

Able to converse fluently in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage.

Competent in Civil3d, Epanet and AutoCad, or other related software will be an added advantage.

Salary is negotiable for competent engineers with 5 years and above experiences.
