Job summary

RIA KISTANA SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Construction Site Supervisor/Engineer to oversee daily site activities and coordinate with workers, contractors and subcontractors. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or QS, at least 3 years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and MS Project.

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. You will travel to client sites when required and work both on site and in the office,

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or QS.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in construction.
• Able to read, write and communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet project deadlines.
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage site personnel effectively.
• Willing to travel to clients' sites and attend off-site meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day construction and site activities.

• Prepare and submit daily site reports, progress updates and other relevant documentation in a timely manner.
• Estimate material requirements, prepare material orders and monitor material usage to minimize wastage.
• Receive, inspect and verify materials delivered to site against required specifications and quantities.
• Conduct joint site inspections and measurements with subcontractors to verify completed works.
• Record, compile and submit material and construction test results, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up where necessary.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with relevant parties on project progress, technical matters and outstanding issues.
• Plan, schedule and monitor construction activities to ensure that project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Read, interpret and implement construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications and safety requirements.
• Coordinate site activities with the office team and other project stakeholders as required.
• Work both on site and in the office, depending on operational requirements.
• Undertake other relevant duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.

Able to read, write and communicate in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Familiarity with AutoCAD will be an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.

Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet project deadlines.

Able to work independently, take initiative and handle site-related issues responsibly.

Willing to travel to clients' sites, attend off-site meetings and support nearby operational requirements when necessary.

Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.

Willing to work at the project site in Jasin, Melaka, and travel as required.
