Job description

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to take on a pivotal leadership role within a top‑tier, established organisation with ambitious growth and transformation priorities.

The organisation operates at significant scale, with annual revenue exceeding RM500 million and a workforce of more than 5,000 employees.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will partner closely with the Board and C‑Suite to shape enterprise strategy through people, organisation and leadership - driving performance, strengthening organisational capability and harnessing AI, data and technology to build a high-performing, future‑ready organisation.

What You’ll Do
  • Shape and execute the enterprise people and organisation strategy aligned with business priorities, growth ambitions and transformation outcomes.
  • Advise and partner with the Board and C‑Suite on critical enterprise decisions involving leadership, organisation, workforce and performance.
  • Drive organisation effectiveness and productivity, ensuring structures, operating models, accountabilities and workforce deployment enable stronger business performance.
  • Build leadership capability and succession depth, strengthening the pipeline for business‑critical and senior leadership positions.
  • Future‑proof workforce capabilities by anticipating critical skills, addressing capability gaps and securing talent required for future growth.
  • Lead enterprise‑wide organisation and workforce transformation, including restructuring, operating model shifts and new ways of working.
  • Embed a high‑performance culture with clear accountability, differentiated performance and strong alignment between individual contribution and enterprise outcomes.
  • Shape competitive, performance‑driven reward strategies to attract, retain and motivate critical talent.
  • Accelerate AI, automation and workforce analytics to improve productivity, decision‑making and organisational intelligence.
  • Lead a high‑performing people function that operates as a strategic enterprise partner and delivers measurable business value.
What We’re Looking For
  1. Academic Qualification - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Economics, Finance or a related discipline. A Master’s degree, MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  2. Enterprise Leadership - Significant senior leadership experience within a large, complex or diversified organisation, with exposure beyond traditional HR leadership.
  3. Business & Commercial Acumen - Strong understanding of business and financial drivers, with the ability to translate people and organisation decisions into measurable business outcomes.
  4. Organisation & Transformation Leadership - Proven track record in organisation design, operating model transformation, workforce transformation and large‑scale change.
  5. Talent & Leadership Strategy - Demonstrated success in building leadership pipelines, succession depth and enterprise‑critical capabilities.
  6. Board & C‑Suite Influence - Credibility and executive presence to advise, challenge and influence Boards, CEOs and senior leadership teams.
  7. Digital, Data & AI Orientation - Strong understanding of how AI, analytics and technology can transform workforce productivity, planning and decision‑making.
