Job summary

Jowat Manufacturing (SEA) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Process Technician to monitor daily adhesive production, perform checks, and adjust parameters to ensure quality and safety.

You will troubleshoot with supervisors and engineers, support improvements, and maintain records while adhering to SOPs and HSE policies in a Malaysia-based facility.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience as a Process Technician in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support daily adhesive production operations to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing.
• Perform routine process checks and adjust operating parameters to maintain product quality.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues with Shift Supervisor and Process Engineer.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Work with QC to ensure products meet quality specifications.
• Investigate process deviations, IE notifications, and customer complaints with data collection and root cause analysis.
• Operate, inspect and maintain production equipment and report issues.
• Record production data and monitor key process parameters.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and work instructions.
• Maintain production records, batch documentation, equipment logs and process documentation.
• Support training and coaching of new operators on equipment operation and procedures.
• Comply with HSE, IMS, and company policies.
• Handle chemicals, scheduled waste, spill response, and waste disposal per procedures.
• Participate in safety inspections and housekeeping for a safe environment.
