Job summary

Bright Prospect Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Chemist to operate and maintain advanced analytical instruments in a GMP‑regulated laboratory in Malaysia. You will perform analyses using GC, GC‑MS/MS, LC‑MS/MS, HPLC, and ICP‑OES/ICP‑MS, and ensure method validation and calibration are up to standard.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on lab experience, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to document processes in accordance with quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in analytical laboratory environment.
• Strong practical experience with GC, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and ICP-OES/ICP-MS.
• Good understanding of laboratory quality systems such as GMP and FSSC 22000.
• Experience in method development, validation, and troubleshooting is an added advantage.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal performance of laboratory instruments through routine calibration and preventive maintenance.

• Troubleshoot instrument and method-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain proper documentation in compliance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, FSSC 22000, and other applicable quality and food safety standards.
