Job summary

myNEWS HOLDINGS BERHAD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Diploma holder in Chemical Engineering to plan, manage, and continuously improve WWTP/WTP operations, maintenance, and safety. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform basic process control tests, and document performance for regulatory reporting.

Requirements include at least 3 years of relevant experience, CePIETSO-PCP or CePIETSO-BP certification preferred, and a proactive approach to vendor sourcing and cost optimisation.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• CePIETSO-PCP or CePIETSO-BP certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in WWTP/WTP operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, manage, execute, review and continuously improve WWTP/WTP operations and maintenance; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot, service, repair related equipment; optimise performance and reduce downtime.
• Oversee data recording, monitoring and documentation of device indications and settings for process control.
• Conduct performance monitoring including sampling and basic lab tests to support operation optimisation.
• Communicate effectively with superiors and team members; maintain a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and cost efficiency.

Job description

• Plan, create, manage, execute, review and improvement on WWTP and WTP operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, repair of related equipment, ensuring safety, and compliance with regulations and with non-compliance issues.
• Enthusiastic willingness for solving challenges related equipment and system troubleshooting, maintenance, spare parts, adequate documentation and operational optimisation.
• Oversee and notation recording device indications and optimise settings to ensure the pollution control system operates as intended.
• Plan, creation, manage, execution, review, continuous monitoring and improvement by conducting performance monitoring activities which involve sampling, in situ measurements and basic process control laboratory tests.
• Good communication skills to superior and team members.
• Passionate for perform findings and corrective actions for risk of pollution control minimise the upset situation.
• Urge for improvement in vendor, supplier sourcing for optimise expenses and performance of plant.
• Knowledge and skills on general tools, equipment, methods, safe work practices in the operation and routine maintenance of the mechanical and basic electrical components of the pollution control system.
• Good work ethics demonstrate a strong towards work, workplace among colleagues.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering (Chemical) or equivalent.
