Job summary

Nippon Electric Glass is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to operate, monitor and maintain the IETS/WTP facility in Selangor. You will handle sampling and testing to ensure compliance and work closely with the plant engineer on treatment processes and pump operations.

The role requires a diploma or degree in Chemical/ Chemistry, at least 2 years in water treatment, and readiness to work shifts, with familiarity of Environmental ACT and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Chemical or Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in water treatment.
• CePIETSO-PCP or CePIETSO-BP certificates are advantageous.
• Knowledge of Environmental ACT and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot the IETS/WTP facility and processes.
• Perform sampling, monitoring, and testing to maintain compliance.
• Maintain open communication with the plant engineer on treatment, pump operation and repairs.
• Comply with related legal requirements and work in shifts.

Job description

To operate , monitor, maintain and trouble- shoot the IETS /WTP facility and its processes

Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance.

Maintain open communication with the plant engineer regarding the treatment process and pump operation and malfunction, as well as make recommendation for repairs and improvement of this system.

To comply with related legal other requirement.

Job Requirement

• Minimum 2 years in water treatment field
• Diploma or Degree in Chemical or Chemistry or other related course.
• Possessed competency certificate as CePIETSO-PCP or CePIETSO-BP will be added advantage
• Familiar with Environmental ACT
• Able to work in shift
• Have a knowledge in basic tools, equipment, method and safe work practices in the operation & routine maintenance of the mechanical and basic electrical component of the treatment system.
• Skill in reading and interpreting meters, gauges and other recording devices and in adjusting control in the operation of the treatment system
