The role includes operating grills, fryers, and ovens, and assisting in menu development. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience, strong teamwork, and a service-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations as a Chef.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
• Good teamwork and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Well-groomed, professional, and service-oriented attitude.
• Able to communicate in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, portion guidelines, quality standards, and presentation requirements to ensure consistency.
• Oversee daily mise en place to ensure the kitchen is prepared before service.
• Ensure food is cooked at the right temperature and presented attractively.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, and ovens.
• Assist in developing new menu items or improving existing recipes, when required.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Conduct routine checks on food quality, taste, freshness, and storage conditions.
• Assist in kitchen audits and inspections, when required.
• Support inventory management, including receiving, storage, stock rotation, and wastage control.
• Coordinate with procurement on raw material quality, quantity, and delivery schedules.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth operations.
