Job summary

Magnum 4D Berhad is seeking a qualified Chargeman to support safe and reliable operation and maintenance of building facilities, electrical installations and M&E systems in Kuala Lumpur.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot building services, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements. The role requires hands-on electrical knowledge and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities management and M&E systems.
• Experience with generator/genset operation.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical installation works.

Chargeman (Building Maintenance & Facilities)

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chargeman to support the safe, efficient and reliable operation and maintenance of our building facilities, electrical installations and M&E systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting building services, supervising contractors, and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, test and maintain electrical installations and building M&E systems.
• Operate and maintain standby generators and related equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance works.
• Troubleshoot and attend to electrical, lighting, plumbing and other building-related maintenance issues.
• Supervise contractors and monitor maintenance works to ensure compliance with specifications, quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate and monitor renovation, upgrading and fit-out works, including contractor performance, work progress and quality.
• Ensure statutory electrical requirements are complied with and support the renewal of relevant licences and certifications.
• Provide standby and after-hours support when required.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, inspections and related documentation.
• Work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure facilities remain safe, functional and well maintained.

About you

• Relevant experience in building maintenance, facilities management and M&E systems.
• Hands-on experience in generator/genset operation and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical installation works.
