Job summary

SOUTHERN ACIDS CRONOS RESOURCE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Chargeman (Biogas Plant) for SG.

Pelek, Selangor. The role requires inspecting, maintaining and operating electrical systems within the biogas facility, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance of power generation, distribution, PLCs and related systems. Responsibilities include following regulations, collaborating with contractors, and assisting Plant Engineer to supervise operations and certifications.

Qualifications

• BO Certificate Chargeman is required.
• Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical or electrical certificate of competency is advantageous.
• 1-2 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of internal combustion engine preferred.
• Hands-on electrical, control and/or mechanical maintenance for chillers, pumps, motors and biogas engines.
• Operating, process control and plant troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and related software preferred.
• Self-disciplined, quick learner with motivation to learn.
• Ability to carry out tasks as directed and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and operate electrical system in the biogas plant.
• Plan, coordinate, implement & monitor preventive, predictive & breakdown maintenance of electrical supply, power generation, distribution, LV & HV substation, transformer, electronic control, PLC system, instrumentation and mechanical system.
• Report to Plant Engineer and Manager - Renewable Energy (Biogas).
• Ensure all relevant laws and regulations relating to electrical system and installation are complied with.
• Work closely with electrical contractors and equipment suppliers.
• Assist Plant Engineer to supervise plant operation and maintenance.
• Assist on the overall maintenance to keep plant at tip top condition and prevent breakdown.
• Assist Plant Engineer for the certification system.
• Other duties as and when required by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Possesses BO Certificate Chargeman.

Possess Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent; or electrical certificate of competency will be an advantage.

1-2 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of internal combustion engine is preferable.

Hands on experience in electrical, control and/or mechanical maintenance works related to chillers, pumps, motors and biogas engines.

Operating, process control and plant troubleshooting experience.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Experience in Microsoft Office and other software's is preferred.

Being self-disciplined, quick learner and motivation to learn.

Ability to carry out assigned tasks as directed.

Ability to maintain accurate records as directed.
