TPG Oil & Gas is a biodiesel manufacturing plant located in Tanjung Langsat, Johor. The company seeks a Chargeman to oversee, operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems critical to production.

The role requires maintaining safe electrical power supply, coordinating inspections, and performing preventive maintenance on LV/HV equipment, MCCs and control panels. Shifts and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Chargeman A4 certificate is required.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
• Experience in biodiesel, oleochemical, palm oil refining or chemical plant preferred.
• Willing to work shifts and be on-call when required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee, operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical installations and equipment.
• Ensure safe, reliable power supply for production, utilities and critical plant operations.
• Coordinate statutory inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
• Inspect switchboards, switchgear, MCCs and distribution systems regularly.
• Monitor plant electrical load, power factor, voltage stability and equipment condition.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults including motor and cable faults.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on LV/HV switchgear, MCCs, motors and control panels.
• Familiarise with plant utilities and equipment such as motors, pumps and boilers.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for overseeing, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting of electrical installations, equipment and electrical projects

Ensures safe and reliable electrical power supply to support production, utilities and critical plant operations, while coordinating statutory inspections and preventive maintenance activities

Perform routine inspection of electrical switchboards, switchgear, MCCs, distribution boards, capacitor banks, earthing systems, plant electrical sockets, etc

Monitor & calculate plant electrical load demand, power factor, voltage stability and equipment conditions

Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including motor failures and cable faults

Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance for LV & HV switchgear & busbar systems, Motor Control Centres (MCC), Motors, pumps, blowers, agitators, control panels and protection relays / VFD Variable Frequency Drive

Familiar with plant utilities and equipment such as motors, pumps, boiler/burner electrical systems, cooling tower fans and basic instrumentation circuits

Knowledge of troubleshooting tools such as multimeter, insulation tester (megger), earth tester, loop tester, thermography (preferred).

Requirement :

Competent Chargeman A4 Certificate

Minimum 3 years experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical work

Experience in biodiesel, oleochemical, palm oil refining or chemical plant preferred

Ability to work on shifts and on-call duty when required
