Job summary
PETRONAS in Putrajaya is seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist to oversee operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment. You will identify improvements to ensure high plant reliability and availability.
You will ensure safety compliance, control HV generation, and perform 33kV switching and maintenance, while delivering daily electrical reports and maintaining system integrity at a large utilities plant.
Qualifications
- Certificate of Competency B4 entitlement required.
- Certificate of Competency BO entitlement required.
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering with electrical competency.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, reliability and efficiency of the electrical system.
- Provide swift response to plant upset or equipment tripping.
- Operate, control and synchronize HV power generation system up to 33kV.
- Perform switching, operate and maintain electrical systems up to 33kV.
- Prepare daily electrical reports for management.
Job description
Implements operation, preventive maintenance and institutes repairs and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment and installation under his job scope, identifies problem areas for improvement to ensure smooth plant operation and maintaining high availability and reliability
- Responsible for safety, reliability & efficiency of electrical system. Provide swift response to plant upset/or equipment tripping.
- Ensure the safety of work carried out at electrical system as per Safe Work Procedure by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
- Operate, control & synchronization of HV power generation system
- Perform switching, operate and maintain electrical system up to 33kV.
- Prepare daily electrical reports required for management.
Certificate or Diploma in Electrical with certificate of competency BO/B4
- Minimum seven (7) years of working experience in Utilities/Large Plant environment.
- Experienced in managing large equipment Electric Chillers, Absorption Chillers, Gas Turbine, Emergency Diesel Generators and Boiler.
