Job summary

True Eco Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Chargeman to oversee the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems at our biogas power plant.

You will work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain the integrity of electrical infrastructure. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators, switchgear, transformers, panels, motors, and instrumentation, while promoting safe work practices and contributing to emergency response

Qualifications

• Proper electrical maintenance and service experience is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a biogas plant.
• Familiarity with safety rules, OSHA guidelines, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Plant Manager / Management.
• Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems in the biogas power plant.
• Ensure safe electrical and mechanical operation of the entire plant, including the Interconnection Facility.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote safe work practices per company rules and guidelines.
• Participate in safety improvement efforts and awareness programs for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Lead or assist in emergency response procedures during electrical incidents.
• Report plant trips or sudden shutdowns to the Plant Manager promptly.
• Assist in budget planning and cost control for electrical maintenance and projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive plant information and perform other duties as assigned.

You will work closely with the Plant Manager and Management to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while maintaining the integrity of the power plant's electrical infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable and secure functioning of the biogas power plant's electrical systems. Your commitment to safety and expertise in electrical operations will contribute significantly to the overall success of our power plant's operations.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

Reports to Plant Manager / Management

Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems throughout the biogas power plant. This includes generators, switchgear, transformers, control panels, motors, and other electrical components.

Take charge of the safe electrical and mechanical operation of the entire power plant, including the Interconnection Facility. Ensure all electrical and instrumentation installations are in proper working condition.

Adhere to safety protocols for the site, promoting and practicing safe work practices in accordance with Company safety rules, OSHA regulations, and Suruhanjaya Tenaga guidelines.

Actively engage in safety improvement efforts and safety awareness programs for all electrical and mechanical systems within the biogas power plant.

Lead or assist in emergency response procedures during electrical emergencies or breakdowns, taking prompt actions to safeguard personnel and equipment while working to restore normal operations.

Report and notify the Plant Manager of any plant trips or sudden shutdowns that may occur.

Assist in budget planning and cost control related to electrical maintenance and projects within the biogas power plant.

Maintain confidentiality at all times, especially regarding sensitive plant information.

Perform any other duties as assigned by Plant Manager/Management as and when is necessary.

Key Requirements

Diploma/Sijil in Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent, or poses an electrical certificate of competency A0 or A1.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English;

Ability to carry out assigned tasks as directed.
