Job summary

TPG Oil & Gas is a biodiesel manufacturing plant located in Tanjung Langsat, Johor. The company seeks a Chargeman to oversee, operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems critical to production.

The role requires maintaining safe electrical power supply, coordinating inspections, and performing preventive maintenance on LV/HV equipment, MCCs and control panels. Shifts and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

Chargeman A4 certificate is required.
Minimum 3 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
Experience in biodiesel, oleochemical, palm oil refining or chemical plant preferred.
Willing to work shifts and be on-call when required.

Responsibilities

Oversee, operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical installations and equipment.
Ensure safe, reliable power supply for production, utilities and critical plant operations.
Coordinate statutory inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
Inspect switchboards, switchgear, MCCs and distribution systems regularly.
Monitor plant electrical load, power factor, voltage stability and equipment condition.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults including motor and cable faults.
Perform scheduled maintenance on LV/HV switchgear, MCCs, motors and control panels.
Familiarise with plant utilities and equipment such as motors, pumps and boilers.
