Job summary

99 Speed Mart Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain electrical systems across facilities. The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering and 2–3 years of related experience, plus a valid ST Chargeman certificate.

You will perform inspections, troubleshoot faults, and coordinate with contractors. The position involves shift work, weekends, and emergencies, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in electrical engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant electrical maintenance or facility management experience.
• Valid ST Chargeman Competency Certificate with appropriate category.
• Understanding of electrical safety requirements and regulations in Malaysia.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical systems, switchboards, generators, transformers and related equipment.
• Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical installations.
• Troubleshoot faults and arrange timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor energy consumption and identify efficiency improvements.
• Ensure safe condition of equipment and housekeeping in electrical rooms.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, repairs and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with contractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in planning scheduled shutdowns and maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or building/facility management.

Valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) Chargeman Competency Certificate with the appropriate category.

Good knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.

Familiar with electrical safety requirements and relevant Malaysian regulations

Able to troubleshoot electrical problems effectively.

Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Willing to work on shifts, weekends, public holidays, or respond to emergencies when required.

Responsibilities:

Ensure proper housekeeping and safety standards are maintained in electrical rooms and work areas.

Support and building facility maintenance activities when required.

Perform other duties related to electrical and facility maintenance as assigned by management.
