Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Change Management Specialist to own and drive continual improvement of the organization's change management process and its documentation. You will coordinate end-to-end change requests, assess impact and risk, and ensure governance requirements are met across the change lifecycle.

You will plan, schedule, and implement approved changes, govern client releases with proper testing and evidence, and maintain records for auditability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in CS/IT/Management Systems or related field; degree plus diploma advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years in change management, release management, project coordination, or similar roles in tech-enabled environments.
  • Knowledge of change/release management practices and software development lifecycle for client-facing products.
  • Familiarity with management systems, regulatory requirements related to information security, business continuity, safety, AI, or payment industry.
  • Experience with risk assessment and fallback planning.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills; proficient in information mapping.
  • Ability to interact with employees across levels and with external clients; internal auditor experience is a plus.
  • Proficient written and verbal communications in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Own, maintain, and drive continual improvement of the change management process and documentation.
  • Coordinate end-to-end change requests from raise to completion.
  • Facilitate assessment of impact, risk, and cost; escalate with justification.
  • Ensure change impact assessments cover governance, compliance, risk, and controls.
  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, and implementation of approved changes.
  • Govern change releases to clients, ensuring testing and evidence before deployment.
  • Verify outcomes and address follow-up actions.
  • Formalize closure by evaluating effectiveness and updating documentation.
  • Maintain change records and logs for traceability.
  • Manage emergency changes per process.
  • Provide change management reporting and metrics.
  • Provide guidance on change requirements to employees and stakeholders.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by Head of Finance & Compliance and Compliance Lead.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management systems, or any relevant qualification from a recognized university is required. Additionally, holding both a degree and a diploma in a related field is considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in change management, release management, project coordination, or a related role within a technology-driven operational environment, with experience owning or being accountable for a process or function considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of change and release management practices, and of the software development and release lifecycle for client-facing products.
  • Familiarity with management system, framework and regulatory requirements related to information security, business continuity, occupational safety & health, artificial intelligence, or payment card industry, sufficient to assess the governance impact of changes.
  • Working knowledge of risk and impact assessment and fallback planning.
  • Analytical skills, interpersonal and presentation abilities, and proficiency in computer use, including information mapping.
  • Interacts well with all levels of Employee and with external Clients where required.
  • Experience as an Internal Auditor would be an added advantage.
  • Good written and communication skills for both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Able to work independently with very minimum supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Own, maintain, and drive continual improvement of the organization's change management process and its associated documentation, ensuring it remains effective, repeatable, and aligned with the Management System.
  • Coordinate change requests end-to-end, ensuring requests are properly raised, assessed, decided, and communicated through to completion.
  • Facilitate the assessment of change impact, risk, and cost, and ensure decisions are escalated to and approved by the appropriate authority with the justification recorded.
  • Ensure change impact assessments consider all applicable governance, compliance, risk, and control requirements in accordance with the Management System prior to implementation.
  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and implementation of approved changes with the relevant parties, ensuring readiness and appropriate controls are in place.
  • Govern the release of changes to clients, ensuring required testing and supporting evidence are completed before deployment is authorized.
  • Verify and confirm the outcome of implemented changes and ensure any required follow-up actions are addressed.
  • Formalize the closure of changes by evaluating effectiveness, gathering feedback, documenting lessons learned, and updating related documentation.
  • Maintain change records, registers, and logs to support traceability, reporting, and effective management oversight, and ensure records are retained in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Manage emergency changes appropriately, ensuring they are notified, documented, and reviewed in line with the change management process.
  • Provide change management reporting and metrics to support management review and decision-making.
  • Provide guidance and awareness to employees and relevant stakeholders on the change management process and requirements.
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the Head of Finance & Compliance and Compliance Lead.
