myNEWS HOLDINGS BERHAD is seeking a dynamic Category Manager to own a high-growth category across multiple channels in Malaysia. You will define and execute strategies that boost sales, margin, and shopper relevance while managing suppliers and promotions.

Ideal candidates bring strong commercial acumen, a data-driven mindset, and proven negotiation skills to build strong supplier partnerships and drive profitable growth.

Responsabilidades

• Own full category P&L (sales, margin, growth) and drive category strategy.
• Monitor performance, identify opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead negotiations on cost, rebates, and trade funding; build joint business plans.
• Define SKU strategy and lead new product introductions (NPD).
• Plan promotions and execute campaigns with strong in-store activation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, CRM, and E‑Commerce.

To own and drive the performance of a category asabusiness unit, delivering growth in sales, margin, and customerrelevance through strong commercial strategy, supplier management, andshopper-led decision making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Category Ownership & Performance

• Own fullcategory P&L(sales,margin, growth)
• Define and executecategory strategy andtargets
• Monitor performance and drive corrective actions
• Identify growth opportunitiesacrossassortment, pricing, and promotions
• Develop and executecategoryplansaligned to shopper missions
• Drivecategory role clarity(traffic,margin, basket, differentiation)
• Lead negotiations oncost, rebates, andtrade funding
• Build strongsupplier partnershipsandjoint business plans
• Secure funding forpromotions, campaigns,and activations
• DefineSKU strategy(what to grow,rationalise, or exit)
• Leadnew product introduction(NPD)direction

5. Promotion & Execution

• Plan and drivepromotion calendarincollaboration with Category Operations
• Ensure strong execution ofcampaigns andin-store initiatives
• Track and optimisepromo effectiveness andROI

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

• Category Operations(pricing, data,execution)
• Category Experience & Space(zoning,placement, store model)
• Marketing & Operations teams
• CRM/Loyalty and E-Commerce teams
