Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled interior design detailer to turn concepts into production-ready drawings. You will prepare cabinet and wardrobe shop drawings, coordinate with the factory, and attend sites when required to brief installation teams.

Proficiency in SketchUp is preferred; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus. You will work with a dynamic team to ensure accurate fabrication and timely delivery, while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture required.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English to communicate with clients and contractors.
• At least 3 years of experience in cabinetry/fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in SketchUp (preferred); knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
• Experience with CNC machines or CNC production workflow is a big plus.
• Carry out site measurements and prepare accurate fabrication drawings for production.
• Coordinate with the factory by briefing production teams on cutting lists and detailing.
• Attend site to brief installation teams and ensure cabinets and carpentry are installed per drawings.
• Maintain meticulous attention to dimensions, methods, hardware placement and finishing details.
• Prepare cabinet, wardrobe and other carpentry shop drawings independently within our workflow.
• Communicate effectively with designers and factory teams to turn concepts into production drawings.
• Brief installers on-site when needed and ensure timely, accurate output.
• Be responsible, self-disciplined and manage time to deliver quality drawings on schedule.
• Approach each project seriously and continuously improve design and technical drawing skills.

• Has a strong eye for detail, especially when it comes to dimensions, construction methods, hardware placement, and finishing details.
• Is able to prepare cabinet, wardrobe, and other carpentry shop drawings independently. We have our own drawing system and workflow to make the process faster and more efficient, and we'll guide you along the way.
• Can communicate effectively with both designers and the factory team, turning design concepts into production-ready drawings, and is comfortable briefing installers on site when needed.
• Is responsible, self-disciplined, and has good time management - delivering drawings on time while maintaining accuracy, quality, and reasonable efficiency.
• Takes every project seriously and completes daily tasks with care and responsibility.
• Is eager to learn, motivated, humble, and always looking to improve both design and technical drawing skills.
