Job summary

Molicc System Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled draughtsman to produce detailed 2D/3D drawings for metal fabrication and door components. You will ensure accurate dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication paths, coordinating with CNC operators and production teams to meet deadlines.

The role requires 2+ years of drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD tools, and knowledge of GD&T and fire-rated door standards. Based in Batang Kali with opportunities to contribute to multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• At least 2 years as a draughtsman in metal fabrication, door manufacturing or construction components.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and/or SolidWorks / Inventor / Revit 3D.
• Knowledge of GD&T, welding symbols, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to create BOMs, cut lists, and assembly drawings.
• Understanding of fire-rated door construction, fire safety standards, and hardware requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects under deadlines.
• Can work in Batang Kali office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed production drawings based on approved designs, shop drawings, or customer requirements.
• Generate and modify 2D/3D CAD drawings suitable for CNC cutting and machining.
• Ensure all drawings include accurate dimensions, tolerances, hole positions, and cutting paths.
• Revise drawings according to production feedback or design changes.
• Work closely with CNC machine operators to ensure drawings are compatible with CNC machine requirements.
• Prepare drawing files in required formats (e.g. DWG, DXF) for CNC programming.
• Assist in resolving technical issues arising during CNC production.
• Ensure drawings comply with construction standards, test reports, and certification requirements.
• Manage drawing revisions and version control to ensure production uses the latest approved drawings.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawing changes and technical records.
• Organize and archive production and engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Sales, and Project teams to clarify technical requirements.
• Provide technical support for project and production-related inquiries.
