Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Interior Design Draughtsman to prepare accurate technical drawings and construction documentation for residential and commercial interior design projects. You will work closely with design and project teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements.

Requirements include a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Revit.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or other design software is an advantage.
• Good understanding of interior fit-out detailing and construction methods.
• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Produce layout plans, demolition plans, ceiling plans (RCP), electrical layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
• Prepare furniture, cabinetry, and joinery shop drawings for fabrication.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes, client feedback, and site conditions.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare as-built drawings when required.
• Coordinate drawings with interior designers, project managers, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, company standards, and local regulations.
• Assist in preparing drawing submissions and construction documentation.
• Maintain proper documentation and organize drawing files.
• Support the project team throughout the design and construction process.
• Attend site meetings and site inspections when necessary.
• Complete assigned tasks within project timelines and maintain drawing accuracy.
