Job summary

TP is seeking an Interpreter (100% Work From Home) based in Malaysia to provide consecutive interpretation for live doctor–patient, banker and client conversations during night shifts. The position is open to Malaysians only and offers a remote home-based setup with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

You will interpret via telephone or video calls, maintain accuracy, stay neutral, and adapt to various sectors such as healthcare, government, insurance, finance, and travel.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication.

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render meaning of conversations in consecutive mode.
• Process information quickly and concisely, recognizing cultural differences, while remaining professional.
• Use industry terminology and understand common procedures across Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel, and General Business.
