Job summary

Cha:Coal in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a friendly barista to join our kiosk team. You will prepare premium beverages including matcha, tea, coffee, and desserts according to standard recipes, operate the POS, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience as a barista or beverage staff, can communicate in Mandarin and English, and is passionate about Japanese matcha culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista, tearista, or beverage preparation staff.
• Experience with specialty coffee, tea, or matcha is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin and English.
• Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused with good communication skills.
• Able to accurately prepare beverages according to standard recipes, operate POS and beverage equipment, maintain food safety and hygiene standards, and keep the kiosk clean and organized at all times.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• <b>Prepare Premium Beverages & Desserts:</b> Craft matcha, tea, coffee, and specialty drinks according to SOPs while ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality.
• <b>Deliver Excellent Customer Experience:</b> Welcome customers warmly, recommend menu items, process orders and payments accurately, and provide efficient, friendly service.
• <b>Maintain Outlet Standards:</b> Ensure cleanliness of the kiosk, replenish ingredients and supplies, monitor inventory, and comply with food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures at all times.
