Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced C&B Executive to manage monthly payroll processing and HR operations in Penang. You will verify inputs, reconcile payroll, and maintain confidential records.
The role requires 5–10 years' payroll/HR experience, strong numerical skills, and knowledge of EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB/MTD. You will liaise with payroll providers and ensure accurate statutory submissions.
Manage and coordinate the monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll submission and processing.
Prepare and verify payroll inputs including salary changes, employee movements, allowances, deductions, overtime, attendance and leave.
Review payroll calculations and reports, identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections before payroll finalisation.
Maintain accurate payroll, employee and HR system records, ensuring all approved changes are properly updated.
Monitor attendance, overtime and leave records and follow up with relevant managers on outstanding approvals.
Coordinate with the appointed payroll service provider and act as the key HR contact for payroll-related matters.
Ensure accurate processing of Malaysian statutory contributions and deductions, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB/MTD.
Support payroll reconciliation, statutory submissions, audits and payroll-related reporting.
Verify and process employee claims in accordance with company policies and maintain proper supporting records.
Respond to employee enquiries relating to salary, payslips, overtime, allowances, deductions, claims and statutory contributions.
Provide payroll information and reports to HR and Finance, including payroll cost reconciliation, accruals and variance analysis.
Maintain accurate, confidential payroll records and ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements.
Support payroll system testing, enhancements and troubleshooting, and liaise with system providers when required.
Identify recurring payroll issues and contribute to process improvements and stronger payroll controls.
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline.
5-10 years of experience in payroll administration, HR administration or a similar role.
Hands-on experience in monthly payroll processing and payroll reconciliation.
Good knowledge of Malaysian statutory payroll requirements, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB/MTD.
Experience with HRIS/HR portals and Time & Attendance systems.
Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.
Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills with good follow-through and the ability to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
Able to handle confidential employee and payroll information with discretion.
Comfortable coordinating with internal stakeholders, employees, Finance, HR and external payroll service providers.
