Job summary

SMT Technologies Sdn Bhd, a leading EMS provider, seeks a Material Management professional in Sungai Petani, Kedah. You will handle purchasing, supplier coordination, and inventory planning to support box-build manufacturing across electronics sectors.

Seeking analytical, Mandarin-speaking candidates with Diploma/Degree in relevant fields; training provided for fresh graduates. The role offers growth in a dynamic SE Asia EMS environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ degree in Material Management, ME or EE or equivalent.
• Analytical mindset with keen attention to details.
• Pro-active and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good communication in Mandarin and English; MS Office knowledge is helpful.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred.
• Understand Incoterms and basic LM W knowledge.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Issue PO to suppliers per ASL and lead time after material plan refresh.
• Regulate incoming materials to optimize inventory levels.
• Mitigate risk of excess/obsolescence from ECNs.
• Liaise with suppliers for defective parts disposition; familiar with RM A process.
• Ensure POD and documentation submitted to Finance for payment.
• Provide quick-turn solutions to fulfill short lead time orders.
• Consolidate shipment modes to reduce material costs.
• Collaborate cross-department to resolve issues and report to management.

Responsibilities

• Issue PO to supplieras per ASL andaccording to part lead time after material plan beingrefreshed.
• Regulatein-comingmaterials inclusiveofpull in and push outdemandqty in tandem with customer’slatestschedule so as tooptimize inventory level.
• Act on customer’sECNtomitigaterisk ofexcess andobsolescence to minimum.
• Liaisewith Supplier for incoming defective partdisposition.Familiar with RMA process.
• Ensure POD process is doneand all relevant documents aresubmitted to Finance timely for payment purpose.
• Providequick turn solutionswith orwithout PPVto fulfillcustomershort lead timeorder.
• Optimizecost ofbringingmaterialsby consolidating shipment frequency and selectingshipment mode.
• Workcross department andsupplierto resolve allissuesamicably.Thesesinclude adjourd meeting, furnished relevantdata, followupmeeting until issue resolved.
• Assist in the vendor evaluation, selection and approval process.
• To provide informative report for management perusal and decision making.

Requirements

• At least Diploma / Degree in Material Management, ME or EE or equivalent. Able to understandcomponents be it electricalor mechanicalspecification willbeadvantageous.
• Highly analytical & with keen attention to details.
• Good working attitude & mindset. Pro-active & able to complete tasks assigned with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills both in Mandarin and English. Good command of MS Office. Knowledge of MRP will be an advantageous.
• We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
• Understand Incoterm.
• Basicunderstanding ofLMW.
• Workingexperience inPCBA or boxbuildmanufacturing environmentswill be advantageous.
