Job summary

ULTRA CLEAN TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Buyer II in Penang to manage sourcing and procurement of materials for our semiconductor gas delivery systems.

You will drive cost reduction, negotiate terms with local and overseas suppliers, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards. In this fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will use your experience in planning, buying, and supplier scorecards to optimize inventory and support operational and financial

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent for candidates with the Bachelor’s track.
• Knowledge of MRP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, buy, source and expedite materials from approved vendors.
• Ensure on-time delivery and quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with local and overseas suppliers.
• Maintain supplier scorecard programs.
• Support inventory management, cost reduction and materials availability.
• Perform other duties as required.

UCTis looking for a talented Buyer II to join us inMalaysia!

The Buyer II is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials from approved suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance. This role drives cost reduction initiatives, negotiates commercial terms, and manages supplier performance through scorecards. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the Buyer II contributes to inventory optimization, material availability, and quality assurance, supporting the organization’s operational and financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, buying, sourcing and expediting materials, commodities from approved vendor lists both locally and overseas
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and meeting quality requirements
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms with local and overseas suppliers
• Maintain and execute suppliers scorecard programs
• Work towards achieving given objectives such as inventory management, cost reduction, materials availability and quality management
• Other duties as required

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering

Experience Requirement:

• At least 2 years working experience for Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent
• At least 5 years working experience for Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent
• Knowledge of MRP system will be add advantage
• Able to perform in fast paced environment; Preferably experience from an manufacturing environment
• Possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills
