Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Sr Mgr, Materials to lead a team of Planners and ensure 100% On Time Delivery while meeting inventory targets in a fast-paced semiconductor supply chain.

You will apply strong purchasing knowledge, data analysis, and leadership. A Diploma/Degree in SCM and 10+ years in manufacturing are expected, with MRP knowledge advantageous. Join a start-up style team building critical gas-delivery systems for global customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing industry.
• Prior experience in leading a team preferred.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Planners to achieve 100% On Time Delivery (OTD) and manage inventory goals.
• Ensure compliance of purchase data such as LT, AVL, SPQ/MOQ and cost setting.
• Perform and supervise purchasing activities to prevent production disruptions.
• Manage escalation process to resolve material shortages timely.
• Review planning processes to improve planner KPIs (pull, push, cancel).
• Establish and maintain good supplier rapport for delivery effectiveness.
• Support and respond to operational needs.
• Risk assessment of material positioning for important/critical parts.

UCT is looking for a talented Sr Mgr, Materials to join us in Malaysia!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• To lead a team of Planners to achieve the key performance – 100% of supplier On Time Delivery (OTD) performance and manage the Inventory goals and target.
• Ensure the compliance of purchase data such as LT, AVL & SPQ/MOQ and cost setting as required in the system.
• Perform, supervise and evaluate all purchasing activities to ensure no disruption of supply to production plan and loading.
• Manage/improve the escalation process to resolve material shortages in timely manner.
• Continuously reviewing in planning processes to improve Planners’ key performance in place, pull, push and cancellation metrics.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with suppliers to ensure the effectiveness in delivery
• Support and responsiveness.
• Risk Assessment of material positioning for important / critical parts by customer.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Strong purchasing knowledge including processes, tool, practices.
• Good data analysis capability to identify issue, develop solutions and implementation
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of MRP system will be advantageous
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing industry
• Prior experience in leading a team preferred
• Able to work in a fast paced environment

Education, Certifications, Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent
