Job summary

ULTRA CLEAN TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Manager, Category Management in Penang to lead comprehensive supply chain strategies for our semiconductor equipment business.

You will shape supplier networks, drive KPI outcomes, and coordinate global sourcing to support manufacturing across Asia, EMEA and the US. The role requires a strong background with 10+ years in manufacturing, engineering, and strategic SCM, plus leadership capabilities to mentor teams and partner with customers

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
• APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
• 10+ years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with broad knowledge of commodity, materials program & strategic supply chain management.
• Experience in gas delivery components/sheet metal parts preferred.
• Proven strong team building and employee development experience.
• Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of supply chain strategies for strategic programs and major corporate initiatives focusing on future direction of UCT’s semiconductor equipment.
• Design the supply chain (selection, qualification, and development) to meet KPI goals.
• Build and develop supply chain globally to support manufacturing sites in Asia, EMEA & US.
• Establish supplier/distribution relationships worldwide to increase supply chain agility.
• Act as part of the Strategic Global SCM leadership escalation team for critical supply line issues.
• Implement inventory stocking programs with suppliers to reduce lead-times, costs, turns and cash flow.
• Drive localisation by site with BCP to ensure continuity of supply for Build-to-Print commodities.
• Champion SAP rollout for SCM and collaborate with customers on change strategies.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for establishing the strategic vision and operational priorities to support current and projected growth ensuring that the supply chain to meet our business and operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of the supply chain strategies for strategic program and major corporate initiatives with focus on the future direction of UCT’s semiconductor equipment
• Design of the supply chain (selection, qualification, and development) that meets our strategic and operational KPI goals
• Build & develop supply chain for Globally to support our manufacturing sites both in Asia, EMEA & US respectively
• Establish Sheet Metal, Frames and associated products supplier/distribution relationships worldwide to increase supply chain agility
• Part of the Strategic Global SCM leadership escalation team supporting any critical supply line issues
• Timely implement inventory stocking programs with suppliers to reduce lead-times, inventory cost, turns and cash flow
• Drive localisation by site with BCP plan to ensure continuity of supply for Build-to-Print Commodity
• Drive supply chain performance in achieving cost, delivery, quality, time-to-market objectives
• Collaborate and work closely with our customers on source change strategy & build business justifications mitigate supply risk to attain a robust supply chain assuring business continuity
• Create and enforce business processes that ensure timely, accurate, and automated data flow (collection, processing, storage, and analysis)
• Lead supply chain transition of project/products transfers and ensure QCD goals are successfully met
• Champion and support the implementation - roll out SAP for SCM

Other Duties

• Ability travel between UCT sites, and Suppliers regularly as and when needed

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred. Directly related experience may be considered.
• APICS/CPIM certification preferred
• Experience Requirement:
• Work Experience: 10+ years or more in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a broad knowledge of commodity, materials program & strategic supply chain management:
• Experience in gas delivery components/sheet metal parts preferred.
• Proven strong team building and employee development experience
• Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment
• Management Experience (for people manager job only):
• At least 6 years of people management with strong leadership skills. P
