Job summary

Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (CCM) invites applications for a Buyer role in our Johor facility. The successful candidate will identify, source and develop new suppliers for non-stock items, packing materials and services, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements include a minimum Diploma in logistics or supply chain, at least 2 years in manufacturing, strong independence, integrity, and good supplier contacts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in logistics, supply chain management or related field.
• at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and handle heavy workload.
• Possess high level of integrity.
• Possess good contacts with suppliers of materials and services.

Responsibilities

• To identify, select and develop new sources of supplies for non-stock items, packing materials and services (calibration and equipment rental)
• To secure samples, descriptions, photos, or data on materials and products from suppliers for end users' information and evaluation and to update the relevant records and files accordingly.
• To coordinate with Spare Gera Store, end users, safety personnel, shift managers to ensure the smooth delivery of goods upon arrival at site.
• To liaise with forwarding agents/transporters on clearance of goods through customs or collection of materials from supplier's premises, to ensure quick and smooth delivery.
• To perform stock count on items kept in the spare gears store during annual stock take exercise.
