Job summary

Chemical Company of Malaysia is seeking a qualified professional in HSE/Engineering/Science to lead its Sustainability Blueprint and ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulatory bodies.

The role requires 5–7 years in Quality, Safety, Health and Environment within the chemicals sector, with certifications such as Safety & Health Officer, Lean Six Sigma and ISO lead auditors. Strong leadership and stakeholder liaison are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in HSE, Engineering or Science related discipline.
• Min 5-7 years working experience in Quality, Operational Excellence, Safety, Health and Environment in chemicals manufacturing industry.
• Attend Safety & Health Officer course and examination
• Attend Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Training
• Attend Quality Tools Training
• Lead Auditor for ISO 45001, ISO 90001 and ISO 14001 Management System
• Added advantage if obtain LSS Green and Black belt Certification
• Added advantage if obtain Risk Management Certification

Responsibilities

• Strategize, develop, review, implement and monitor Chemicals Business' Sustainability Blueprint and ensure conformance with regulatory and international standards.
• Represent CCM Chemicals as liaison officer with external statutory and regulatory agencies (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, PDRM, MPPG, SIRIM) for compliance.
• Maintain sustenance of HSE, Quality and Halal management systems per ISO 45001, ISO 14001, process Safety Management and Halal Certification.
• Manage Operational Excellence projects across all departments using Lean Six Sigma and Quality Tools.
• Drive Product Stewardship programs including training, audits and supplier/customer audits.
• Develop staff awareness and leadership to foster an interdependent HSE culture aimed at Best-In-Class performance.
• Oversee Global Product Safety Summaries for CCM Chemicals Division as required by ICCA via CICM.
• Advise Transport and Distribution on transportation and driver safety programs.
• CCM has a long-standing presence in Malaysia with core activities in chemicals and polymers, supporting the rubber gloves industry.

Main Duties

Responsible to strategies, develop, review, implement and monitor Chemicals Business' Sustainability Blueprint and processes are conformed and in line with regulatory requirements, local and international standards, Code of Practices, industry best practices.

Represent CCM Chemicals as liaison officer with external statutory and regulatory agencies such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, PDRM, Pasir Gudang City Council (MPPG), SIRIM and others in ensuring conformance to all statutory and standards requirements.

Responsible in ensuring sustenance of HSE, Quality and Halal management system in accordance to international and national requirements namely ISO 45001, ISO 14001, process Safety Management and Halal Certification.

Strategize, plan and manage Operational Excellence projects by all departments through various tools such as LSS and Quality Tools.

Responsible in strategizing and ensuring Product Stewardship Program for customers, staff and relevant government agencies are carried out which includes product handling training, new customer installation audit, existing customers maintenance audit and mock drill at customer premises and during transportation.

Strategize and formulate program for all staff including the top management to enhance awareness, leadership and ownership to achieve interdependent HSE culture which aims to be Best-In-Class company

Responsible for strategizing and ensuring CCM Chemicals Division producing Global Product Safety Summary for manufactured products as required by the International Council of Chemical Association (ICCA) through CICM.

Advise and assist Transport and Distribution Department on transportation and driver safety program.
