Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Analyst for a contract position. The successful candidate will independently manage data pipelines, maintain dashboards, debug issues, and provide operational-level reporting.

This role requires strong SQL and Power BI skills, with learning agility and excellent communication to partner with product and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering or Science.
• At least 3 years of experience in business analytics or sales operations, preferably in B2B, SaaS, or tech.
• Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and analysis, and strong working knowledge of Power BI (1+ year).
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and fast learning ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Management: Independently manage and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and efficient data flow across systems.
• Dashboard Maintenance and Debugging: Create, maintain, and debug dashboards using Power BI to provide actionable insights to business teams.
• Operational Reporting: Generate and deliver operational reports, providing clear and concise data analysis to support decision-making processes.
• SQL Utilization: Apply SQL fundamentals to retrieve and manipulate data from databases, guiding strategic decisions and operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various product and operation teams to ensure data consistency and support business operations.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis for individual projects, providing valuable insights to marketing and sales decision-makers.
• Data Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the data quality team to identify opportunities for data monitoring and ensure consistent reporting across systems.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 3 years+ of experience in business analytics or sales operations roles, preferably within B2B, SaaS, or tech environments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and analysis. Strong working knowledge of Power BI (at least 1 year experience) for dashboard creation and data visualization.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously manage data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Fast Learner: Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new tools and processes.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly to stakeholders.
