Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking a proactive Business Development Assistant to support Country Directors across Southeast Asia. You will conduct market research, prepare proposals, track opportunities, and help craft client-facing materials while coordinating with the Marketing team.

Ideal candidates are commercially minded, detail-oriented, and confident engaging new contacts to grow ventures within an agile, collaborative team environment. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, Construction, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in business development, marketing or sales support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); AI productivity tools a plus.
• Analytical, organized, and capable of coordinating multiple tasks in an agile team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market, sector, client, and competitor research.
• Assist in preparing bid proposals, capability statements, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
• Support identification, tracking, and follow-up of new business opportunities, maintaining records and pipelines.
• Prepare monthly business development reports, KPI updates, market intelligence summaries, and dashboards.
• Promote company profiles, project wins, news, thought leadership, and market updates across social media.
• Assist internal communications and work with Marketing team.
• Support administration of BD budget, including tracking costs and approvals.
• Attend client meetings, networking functions and relevant events.
• Arrange and attend client meetings and relationship-building sessions.
