Gentle Supreme Sdn Bhd in Subang Jaya, Malaysia seeks an Assistant Logistics Inbound Manager to oversee inbound flows, customs clearance, and inventory alignment with demand. You will coordinate with internal teams and forwarders to maintain optimal lead times and cost.

The role requires a strong background in FMCG logistics, SAP-based inventory management, and cost-saving process improvements. On-site position with a multinational FMCG parent company expanding in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Business or related field with education/work experience in logistics.
• Minimum of 5 years logistics experience in FMCG (Foods and HomeCare).
• Strong analytical skills and proactive data management mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, MicroStrategy, WMS and TMS.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of purchase price, quantity, and on-time shipments (as per demand).
• Manage inflow of goods with internal team and forwarders.
• File local documentation and declarations for customs release per regulations and policy.
• Manage shipment clearance with customs broker/forwarder for timely clearance.
• Coordinate trucking to warehouse before Last Free Day to avoid storage costs.

ManagesinventoryinawaytomeetqualifiedcustomerdemandwhilealsomeetingCompanyinventorytarget.ThisrolewilluseforecastsfromthesalesteamanddatafromSAPandBIonexistinginventory,saleshistory,andopenorderstoensureaccurateinventoryplanning.Thisfunctionwillworkcloselyandinco-ordinationwiththeSalesTeamandinternalTeam.

KeyRoles/Responsibilities

ManagetruckingtowarehousepriortoLastFreeDaytoavoidPortStorage,Demurrageand/orDetention.

PromptandaccurateSAPinventoryrecordingandaccrualofestimatedLandedCost.

Handleclaimsonshipmentsasneeded.

Authorizeand/ordisputeShipperandLogisticsProviderpaymentsforaccounting.

Negotiateandmanagecontractagreementswithsupplierstoensurecosteffectiveness,qualitystandardsandbeneficialdeliveryterms.

ManagesallLogisticsProviders’contractincludingexpectedServiceLevelwithstructurebusinessperformancereview.

Consolidationofforecast,supply,inventoryin-transit,on-handinventory,saleshistory,andopenorderstoensurecompleteorderfulfilmentsincludinglosstreeanalysisforallunfulfilledorders.

Monitordays-on-handinventoryagainsttargetandidentifyingimprovementopportunities.

Manageslow-movingandobsoletestocks(SLOB)byhighlightingslowandnon-movingstockstotheBusinesstogenerateappropriateactions.

StockreconciliationbetweenSAPand3PLandidentifyingimprovementopportunities.

ThisrolefunctionaspivotalcommunicationpointforSupplyand FulfilmentconstraintsbetweenSalesandinternalTeam.

Keyinterfacebetweennumerouspartiestoproactivelytakeactionthatdeliverbusinessresults.

Developandimplementprocessimprovementswithfocusonprocessefficiencyandcostsavings.

Controllingthedepartmentaloperationsbudgetandmonitoringexpenses,andinitiatecontinuouscostsavinginitiatives.

Skills/Qualifications

Bachelor’sdegreeinanystreamwithSupplyChainManagement/LogisticsManagement/Businessorrelatedfieldequivalentcombinationofeducationandworkexperienceinthelogisticsindustry.
