Business Development Manager, Corporate Business Department

Responsible to achieve company/department goals and objectives by achieving sales target allocated through intermediaries.

Responsible to maintain high level of compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and building strong relationships with intermediaries to achieve company/department objectives.

Underwrite all cases of business within the given authority limits and liaise with superiors/ underwriters on risk retention where appropriate.

Underwrite, manage and monitor performance of the account/project accepted to ensure profitability of the department.

Assist Supervising Manager in the preparation of sales and production reports.

Manage outstanding premium of accounts and ensure payment made within the stipulated payment terms so that impairment is kept to the absoluteminimum.

Adhering to company’s guidelines and its compliance as well as PIAM, BNM and other regulatory guidelines.

To monitor all global related system and reporting to ensure KPI is achieved.

Identify and pursue business opportunities while promoting company products and services, including cross-selling initiatives

Maintain proper documentation and filing systems, including electronic records

Any other duties as and when deemed necessary.

Key Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor‘s Degree, Professional Degree in any discipline

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Sales or Financial Services

Result-driven, able to achieve the target assigned, and able to work independently

Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and maintain relationships with intermediaries, and an effective team player.

Well verse in both verbal and written communication skills - English & Bahasa Malaysia

Familiar with the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT for tasks simplification
