Job summary

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd is seeking a Business Development Intern in Selangor to assist with sales targets and dealer engagement. The role involves processing Yamalube orders, monitoring stock and coordinating logistics to ensure timely deliveries.

You will assist on market visits, collect market information, and help resolve dealer issues while supporting IP coordination with relevant teams.

Responsibilities

To assist sales target of Yamalube set to be achieved on every month.
To process Yamalube order received from dealers promptly.
To collect payment of aging, exceed term or order that exceeded credit limit from dealers.
To ensure the delivery of Yamalube to dealer in proper manner with logistic company and solve issue if any
To responsible on stock status of Yamalube managed by Tiong Nam for every stock in and out.
To perform physical stock count of Yamalube at Tiong Nam warehouse when required.
To determine sales trend, inform Procurement quantity of PO and control inventory threshold
To collect order, market info, solve dealer issue and other required tasks during monthly market visit.
To develop new product of Yamalube if required.
To assist on other tasks that assigned by Management.
IP- Identify,purchase sample, collect info of counterfeit product whether online or offline for any infringement of Yamaha & Yamalube brand name.
IP- Coordinate with legal/IP teams, YMC, government enforcement team on patent and trademark matters.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) is a member of the Hong Leong Group, a Malaysian conglomerate with diverse businesses interests in various countries globally. HLYM's humble beginnings started in 1978, when Hong Leong Industries Bhd and Yamaha Motor Co Ltd of Japan (YMC) signed the franchise agreement to venture into manufacturing, assembling and marketing of Yamaha motorcycles in Malaysia. It rolled out its first CKD Yamaha street model, RX100 at Shah Alam plant in 1979. The Yamaha motorcycles are principally for sale in the domestic market.

After merging its marketing and distribution arm into a single entity, HLYM relocated its factory in 1997 and occupies an area sprawling 35.6 ares in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The entire HLYM complex consists of a Main Office block, R & D centre and 4 factories engaged in press and welding of metal parts, spray painting, assembly operations, plastic injection moulding and a designated warehouse for distribution of CBU motorcycles.

HLYM continues to invest in new technologies and equipment to improve productivity and upgrade the skills of workers on the transfer of technology with the guidance and coaching of YMC engineers and consultants.

Today, HLYM is proud to be in the unique position of being the motorcycle manufacturer in Malaysia with triple certification of ISO 9002 (Quality Management System) from SIRIM, TPM Excellence Award from JIPM and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) from SGS Malaysia/SGS UK.
