Job summary

Rentokil Initial Kota Kinabalu is seeking a motivated Business Development Executive – Outdoor to strengthen relationships with existing clients while driving new business growth through proactive field sales and a customer‑focused approach. The role offers an attractive base salary with commissions and a robust perks package.

You will drive revenue by meeting targets, generate a healthy sales pipeline, conduct on‑site inspections, deliver tailored presentations, and coordinate with Operations,

Qualifications

• Experience in B2C/B2B sales, business development, or outdoor sales, preferably in service industries.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Multilingual in English and Bahasa Malaysia is highly desirable and other local dialects are a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport for frequent client visits.

Responsibilities

• Drive Revenue: Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets by proposing Rentokil Initial’s products and services at competitive prices.
• Market Intelligence: Understand market trends, benchmarks and competitor moves to position our value proposition.
• Prospect Generation: Develop a healthy sales pipeline and execute market development initiatives.
• Consultative Selling: Conduct on-site inspections, visits, and deliver tailored presentations.
• Customer Experience: Be the primary contact for new accounts, resolve client queries, and ensure policy adherence.
• Sales Administration: Draft proposals, execute service agreements, and maintain CRM records.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, and Finance for seamless service and collections.
• Agility: Support broader business with ad-hoc projects and urgent tasks.

We’re looking for a motivated and dynamic Business Development Executive – Outdoor to join our expanding team. In this role, you’ll strengthen relationships with existing clients while driving new business growth through your strong sales skills and proactive mindset. In this role you will be responsible for:

• Drive Revenue: Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets by proposing the company’s products and services at optimised pricing levels.
• Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, industry benchmarks and competitor movements to effectively position Rentokil Initial’s unique value propositions.
• Prospect Generation: Actively prospect, develop a healthy sales pipeline and execute strategic market development initiatives.
• Consultative Selling: Conduct on-site inspections and client visits to assess needs, deliver presentations and propose tailored make solutions.
• Customer Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for new accounts; urgently resolve client complaints and handle customer’s’ queries in accordance with company policy.
• Sales Administration: Manage day-to-day administrative sales workflows, including drafting proposals, executing service agreements and maintaining the system.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, and Finance departments to ensure seamless service execution and collection of payment.
• Agility: Maintain flexibility to support the broader business on ad-hoc projects and urgent operational tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience: Proven track record in B2C/& B2B sales, business development, or outdoor sales (experience in service industries, pest control, or hygiene is a strong advantage).
• Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Attributes: Highly agile, resilient, and comfortable conducting hands‑on on‑site inspections at client premises.
• Tech‑Savvy: Comfortable utilising modern systems and mobile sales tools to track KPIs.
• Mobility: Possess a valid driver’s license and own transport for frequent client visits in outstations.

• Multi-lingual in both verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia, able to converse in decent clear communication. Ability to converse in other local dialects will be an added advantage
