Business Development Executive (Agency Distribution)

We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Business Development executive to support the growth of our Agency Distribution business (General Insurance). In this role, you will work closely with insurance agents to drive business production, expand agency relationships, provide underwriting support, and ensure profitable portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve individual production targets and portfolio mix objectives.

Build, recruit, and retain high-performing insurance agents.

Develop strong relationships with agents through regular servicing, coaching, and business reviews.

Provide marketing, product, and underwriting support to agents.

Conduct training sessions and product briefings to enhance agents' capabilities.

Monitor underwriting performance and ensure risks are accepted in accordance with company underwriting guidelines.

Support premium collection activities in compliance with the company's credit control policies.

Gather market intelligence and competitor insights to identify business opportunities.

Resolve operational issues and escrow complex matters when required.

Coordinate and manage documentation between agents and the company.

Assist in annual business planning and budgeting activities.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Unit Head or Department Head.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, finance or a related discipline.

Fresh Grad are welcome to apply. With the insurance industry, preferably within agency distribution, underwriting, or business development is prefered.

Good understanding of insurance products and underwriting principles is preferred.

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to achieve business targets.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and agency partners.

Fresh Graduates will be considered for the role.
