Job summary

Capco is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive technology and AI product delivery within the financial services sector in Kuala Lumpur. The role partners with Product Owners, Project Managers and tech teams to capture requirements, write BRDs and user stories, and support both AI-enabled and existing digital products across the delivery lifecycle.

You will translate business needs into actionable tech requirements, conduct gap analyses, support backlog refinement and ensure alignment

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within technology, digital product or transformation initiatives.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Experience in the technology product development lifecycle from discovery to implementation.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and collaboration with Product Owners and development teams.
• Experience in process analysis, gap analysis, stakeholder management and solution validation.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into actionable technology requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews and workshops.
• Translate business requirements into BRDs, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Support AI-enabled and non-AI technology products, including new features and integrations.
• Analyze current-state processes and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and tech teams to clarify requirements and support solution design.
• Conduct gap analysis and assess impacts of new product development.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and prioritisation.
• Coordinate with developers, QA and business users through delivery lifecycle.
• Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution and implementation readiness.
• Ensure requirements stay aligned with objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Produce high-quality analysis, documentation and presentations.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong technology product delivery background to support digital and technology initiatives within the financial services industry.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, business stakeholders and technology teams to define requirements and support the development, enhancement and implementation of digital products. The role will involve a combination of AI-enabled initiatives, new product development, digital product enhancements and scaling existing solutions.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can bridge business needs and technology solutions while operating effectively in complex banking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews and workshops to understand business objectives and product needs.
• Translate business requirements into clear BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows.
• Support the development of AI-enabled and non-AI technology products, including new product features, enhancements and integrations.
• Analyse current-state processes, identify business challenges and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with Product Owners and technology teams to clarify requirements, assess feasibility and support solution design.
• Conduct gap analysis and assess business, process, data and system impacts arising from new product development.
• Support product backlog refinement, sprint planning and prioritisation activities.
• Coordinate with developers, QA teams and business users throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution and implementation readiness.
• Ensure requirements remain aligned with business objectives, product outcomes and stakeholder expectations.
• Produce high-quality analysis, documentation and stakeholder presentations.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within technology, digital product or transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Experience working across the technology product development lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through testing and implementation.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and collaboration with Product Owners and development teams.
• Experience in process analysis, gap analysis, stakeholder management and solution validation.
• Ability to understand complex business problems and translate them into actionable technology requirements.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Advantageous Experience

• Experience within Financial Services, Wealth Management or Private Banking.
• Exposure to AI use cases, AI-enabled applications, AI product development or AI-related business requirements.
• Experience supporting new digital product development or scaling existing technology products.
• Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, data flows or digital banking platforms.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Visio, Figma or similar analysis tools.
• Previous consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
