Oliver James Associates Limited, in Kuala Lumpur, is recruiting a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and technology teams on large-scale digital transformation projects within the Insurance and Financial Services sector.

You will gather and document requirements, translate needs into functional specifications, create user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and collaborate with developers, architects, and testers to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualificações

• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience with SQL and database analysis.
• Exposure to APIs, system integrations, and data mapping.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments, particularly Azure and .NET ecosystems.
• Understanding of Java, Spring Boot, Linux/Unix environments is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with solution configuration, troubleshooting, and testing activities.
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Postman, Swagger, Power Platform, and SharePoint.

• Participate in solution design reviews and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
• Lead and support UAT activities, defect management, and production readiness initiatives.
• Deliver user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and post-go-live support.
• Contribute to project planning, risk management, and successful project execution.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.

• Prior experience within Insurance, Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech environments.

• Experience working on system implementation, digital transformation, platform migration, or integration projects.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Experience with SQL and database analysis.

• Exposure to APIs, system integrations, and data mapping.

• Familiarity with cloud-based environments, particularly Azure and .NET ecosystems.

• Understanding of Java, Spring Boot, Linux/Unix environments is advantageous.
