Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Penta Consultancy Sdn. Bhd is seeking a capable IT Business Analyst to analyze and map business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable user stories and specifications.

The role collaborates with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure quality readiness for releases and aligns IT solutions with business objectives. You will contribute to sprint planning, maintain a refined backlog, and drive continuous improvement while supporting SLA-driven

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of IT Business Analysis or delivering IT applications.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, user story creation, and business process analysis.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in sprint-based environments.
• Ability to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality deliverables.
• Experience in stakeholder management, including influencing and communicating across different levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the Insurance industry is highly preferred.
• Experience in project management or leading initiatives is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand business processes; identify, define, and map requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements via interviews, workshops, and research.
• Translate needs into clear user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for development teams.
• Define and develop acceptance criteria to ensure quality and readiness of releases.
• Work with project teams to plan, develop, and refine features for upcoming sprints and releases.
• Ensure all user stories meet the Definition of Ready before development begins.
• Maintain a prioritized product backlog of features and user stories.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend IT solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Development, and QA to ensure delivery.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and align IT solutions with business objectives.
• Support delivery and maintenance per SLA and IT SDLC processes.
• Assist in resolving complex issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
