Job summary

PENTAS FLORA is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to drive process standardisation and digitalisation initiatives in Malaysia. You will work with business users, technology teams and vendors to translate requirements into actionable solutions and support project delivery.

Responsibilities include documenting AS-IS and TO-BE processes, developing process flows, and leading UAT, while ensuring clear communication and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis or digital transformation.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with ERP/CRM or workflow applications preferred.

Job description

This role involves conducting business process analysis, requirements gathering, and supporting project delivery across process standardisation, simplification and digitalisation initiatives. You will work with business users, stakeholders, technology teams and vendors to translate business requirements into actionable solutions, manage UAT activities, and facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct business-process discovery with users and stakeholders
• Document AS-IS processes and assist in designing TO-BE processes
• Develop clear process flows and supporting documentation
• Identify process inefficiencies, repetitive manual activities and improvement opportunities
• Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with business users
• Document business and functional requirements
• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, use cases and process scenarios where appropriate
• Translate approved business requirements into sufficient detail for Technology teams and vendors
• Develop UAT scenarios and test cases based on business requirements
• Coordinate UAT activities with business users
• Ability to conduct requirements-gathering sessions with business users
• Ability to clarify requirements with users, developers and vendors
• Ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies and ambiguities in requirements
• Ability to maintain requirements documentation and traceability
• Ability to participate in solution discussions and requirement walkthroughs
• Ability to communicate effectively between business and technical stakeholders
• Ability to facilitate business-analysis workshops
• Ability to engage operational users to understand process challenges and requirements

Job Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or any other related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Business Process Analysis, system implementation or digital-transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience developing process flows and analysing business processes.
• Practical understanding of requirements, testing, UAT and implementation activities.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business users and technical teams.
• Preferably with experience in operationally intensive industries.
• ERP, CRM, workflow, mobile, operational or enterprise application experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with BPMN or process-modelling tools is preferred.
• Agile/user-story experience is preferred.
• Exposure to workflow automation, RPA or digitalisation projects is preferred.
• Relevant Business Analysis or process-improvement certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
