Job summary

CBRE in George Town, Penang, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain small to medium-sized office buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. You will support preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems in a collaborative engineering environment.

Working hours are Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 8am to 1pm. You will review work orders, assist with installation and modification of equipment, and ensure all activities follow safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma (1–2 years of related experience).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform stooping, standing, walking, and climbing.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose problems, and perform repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for code compliance and safety regulations.
• Follow defined procedures and communicate clearly under supervision.
• Deliver output according to defined processes and guidelines.
