Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician (AO Chargeman) in Penang to maintain small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems. You will support preventive maintenance, repairs, and the installation/modification of building equipment while following established procedures under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift heavy loads, and competency with MS Office.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with at least 2 years of job-related experience.
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Review assigned work orders and track completion with available systems.
Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
