Job summary

CBRE Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. The role sits within Engineering and Technical Services, delivering preventive maintenance and repairs with supervision.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, assist with installation and modification, review work orders, support energy management, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of related experience.
• Able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange straightforward information clearly.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures under close supervision and guidance.
