Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Malaysia to maintain small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs under supervision, ensuring energy efficiency and code compliance. The role involves assisting with installation and modification of equipment, reviewing work orders, and contributing to reliable facility operations.

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate with 1–2 years of job-related experience (or equivalent mix of education and experience).
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in applying work.
Effective communication to exchange straightforward information.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Review assigned work orders and coordinate with available systems to track completion.
Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.
