Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Georgetown, Penang, is seeking a hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will carry out maintenance, repair, and upkeep to ensure the building and facilities are safe, clean, and operating smoothly.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience in building maintenance or facilities management, knowledge of DOSH and DOE regulations, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant working experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Good knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Familiar with DOSH and DOE regulations and safety requirements.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance works.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform defects and maintenance, repairing and co-ordinate tasks such as pumps, plumbing, gas, lift, building and equipment within the group of properties to ensure that they are all in good and proper working order and in compliant with the regulations for hotels and leasing / tenant units.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of building maintenance and provide recommendations and solutions to Management.
• Coordinate with contractors and monitor maintenance works on site.
• Ensure building facilities are safe, clean, and in good working condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Maintain simple records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
