Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on our buildings, facilities and civil infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with external contractors.

The role requires a certificate/diploma in civil or building maintenance, at least 3 years of relevant experience, basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and a valid Malaysian driving licence; travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Vocational qualification in Civil Engineering, Building Maintenance, Construction Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in building maintenance, facilities management, property maintenance or civil maintenance works.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, waterproofing and general building repair works.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and respond to urgent maintenance issues.
  • Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence (Class D).
  • Willing to travel between company premises and project sites when required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, facilities and civil infrastructure.
  • Carry out basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, tiling, waterproofing and general repair works.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure buildings, facilities and civil structures are safe and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for servicing, repairs, renovation and minor civil maintenance works.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair works in a timely manner.
  • Carry out minor civil works such as repairing drains, pavements, walkways, fencing and concrete elements where required.
  • Maintain maintenance records and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and company procedures.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
