Job summary

JCI in Malaysia, Johor Bahru, seeks an Application Engineer to provide technical support for customer quotations and develop business opportunities in composite applications. You will work with engineering, sales, and operations to craft detailed proposals, including CAD models and BOMs, with cost, timing, and resources clearly outlined.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree with 6+ years' experience, willingness to travel, and knowledge of PLC/BMS as an advantage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with minimum 6-year relevant work experience.
Willing to learn with good attitude.
Travel between job sites as required.
Knowledge in PLC/BMS will be added advantage.

Responsibilities

Respond to technical queries with detailed analysis including costing and timely submittals.
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations to define fabrication techniques and materials.
Prepare technical presentations for customer proposals, including 3D representations of finished goods and tooling.
Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints and plans with engineers and other specialists.
Conceptual design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals.
Generate solid and surface CAD models of components and assemblies.
Compose detailed bill of materials for proposals.
Work with design, engineering, and operations teams to deliver proposals.
Knowledge of ACMV and Johnson Control Metasys will be an advantage.
